Choir with Mrs Hopkinson
At Choir, our students will learn many styles of music and perform at school and community events. It is an opportunity to make friends and learn teamwork in a non-competitive environment.
When: Friday – Lunch 2: 1:15pm – 1:45pm
Who can attend: Year 1 to Year 6
Where: Music Room
Student Attendance: Students who join and regularly attend rehearsals, will have Choir listed on their report card to acknowledge their participation in this extra-curricular activity.

MSS Dance Crew with Mrs Hopkinson
Dancers will learn teamwork, performance techniques and stagecraft at their weekly rehearsals as well as discover the amazing benefits that music brings - self-motivation, increased self-confidence and having lots of fun. The dancers are provided with opportunities to showcase their talent at school and community events.
When: Tuesday – Lunch 2: 1:15pm – 1:45pm
Who can attend: Those who were successful at the auditions from Years 4 to 6
Where: Music Room
Student Attendance: Students who join and regularly attend rehearsals, will have MSS Dance Crew listed on their report card to acknowledge their participation in this extra-curricular activity.

Instrumental Music with Ms Otto
Students in the Instrumental Music program have the opportunity to learn either a Brass, Woodwind or Percussion instrument and receive weekly lessons. In these lessons, students will learn to not only play their instrument, but to also learn how to read music and work in small groups with others. Students will also be invited to join the band program once they reach a high enough level.
When: Thursday and Friday as per the Instrumental Music Timetable
Who can attend: Students who were successful in joining the program through their applications
Where: Instrumental Music Room
Student Attendance: Students who join and regularly attend rehearsals, will have Instrumental Music listed on their report card to acknowledge their participation in this extra-curricular activity.

Band with Ms Otto
Students will have the opportunity to work in a larger ensemble and have the chance to create music as a group. Students in the band program will also have the opportunity to perform at school and community events.
When: Thursdays at 8am
Who can attend: Instrumental Music students in their second or third year of learning.
Where: Instrumental Music Room
Student Attendance: Students who join and regularly attend rehearsals, will have Band listed on their report card to acknowledge their participation in this extra-curricular activity.
