Malanda Library: More than just books
Book Week
Each year, our library celebrates CBCA Book Week by hosting fun events leading up to the grand finale: Book Week Parade. Students and staff go all out to be crowned best dressed and win a range of fantastic prizes (AKA books). During this time, the library also transforms into a fantasy wonderland where the words leap off the page and come alive.
Book Fairs
Each year, our amazing P&C volunteers host two themed bookfairs. Not only do students get to purchase books, they are also welcome to join in a range of competitions and events. The profit from these events goes directly back to the library to buy more books for students to borrow: no one misses out.
Displays
Our amazing library staff are always concocting plans for another great display to celebrate or commemorate special events. Also, check out our NEW Books display to get your hands on the latest and greatest.
Events and competitions
Throughout the year, our students also participate in a range of competitions and events including Readers Cup, Simultaneous Storytime, Book club and Premier’s Reading Challenge.
Mrs Debel and Ms Janice hope to see you in the library soon!
