Internet Resources for students


Below is a list of suggested resources for your child.

Google is a great way to search for information, videos and pictures to help with an assignment.

Reading Eggs
Our school currently subscribes to Reading Eggs for students in Prep to Year 3. This site is a game based learning object that allows students to develop their letter and sound knowledge. Students will need their log in details from their teacher.

Sound Waves Online
Our current school spelling program is Sound Waves. This online website compliments what is being taught. It has multiple resources to help parents support their child's learning and also has fun spelling games. Students will need their class log in details from their class teacher. 
EQ Student WebMail
Students are able to use their school log in details to access their own email accounts. EQ monitors the traffic and will block any emails that contain inappropriate material.
EQ Student Learning Place
The Learning Place is a great place for students to find helpful resources. Some teachers use the Learning Place to set up web-based lessons for their students.
Spelling City is a free website that allows students to practise their spelling in a games based design.
This website was founded by some of the greatest program designers of our time. The website is host to an extensive range of student friendly tutorials on coding. Students can have fun designing games from Minecraft to Frozen.
This website, created by MIT, is dedicated to teaching students how to code in a fun and interactive way. This program is used at school as part of the Digital Technologies curriculum.
