Music Clubs at Malanda State School

 
Music Clubs commenced in week 4 and any interested students have the opportunity to join a Music Club of their choice and discover the amazing benefits that music making brings ie. learning a new skill, self-motivation, increased self-confidence, being part of a team, lots of fun and much more!!! Once your child has joined, and attends regularly, it will be acknowledged in their report card that they are participating in the clubs as extra-curricular activities.
 

Guitar Club

Held every Wednesday 1:10pm – 1:35pm

 
Students will be able to use a guitar from the Music Room, or they may bring their own guitar from home and drop off in the Music Room before 8.45am.  Students will be provided with a song book from which they will learn a repertoire of songs and matching chords to enable them to feel empowered by playing and singing along to their own music.  Students will get the opportunity to perform for a live audience at events like the School Fete, School Concert and School Parades.
   

Singing Club (Choir)

Held every Tuesday 1:10pm – 1:45pm and Friday 1:10pm - 1:35pm

 

Students will be provided with the opportunity to learn varied styles of songs to enhance their skills and passion for singing.  Choir members learn songs for many performances throughout the year ie. School Parades, Meet and Greet Evening, School Leadership Badge Ceremony, School Anzac Ceremony, Folk Festival, School Concert and more!

   

Ukulele Club

Held every Thursday 1:10pm – 1:45pm

 
Students will be able to use one of the ukuleles kept in the Music Room, or they may bring their own ukulele from home and drop off in the Music Room before 8.45am.  Students will be provided with a song book from which they will learn a repertoire of songs and matching chords to enable them to feel empowered by playing and singing along to their own music.  Students will get the opportunity to perform for a live audience at events like the School Fete, School Concert and School Parades.
